Crush Art & Technology: From Idea to Protection – A Journey Through Photography and Law with Fabio Ricciardiello

On Tuesday, November 19, a special evening brought Milan’s cultural scene to life, where art, technology, and law converged for a unique reflection on the value of ideas and their protection. The exhibition “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – Crush Art & Technology: From Idea to Protection” by the artist Fabio Ricciardiello served as the centerpiece of an exclusive event organized by the law firms Campa Avvocati and Studio Jaumann, showcasing their Intellectual Property partnership—an occasion that united aesthetics and legal expertise to explore the theme of intellectual property.INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – Crush Art & Tecnologia.

The event was moderated by art critic Azzurra Immediato, and featured opening remarks from lawyers Massimo Campa, Andrea Santini, and Leonardo Jaumann, who introduced attendees to this innovative connection between art and legal protection. Fabio Ricciardiello then shared the surprising creative journey behind the works on display, born from a technological error that transformed a loss into a unique creative opportunity.

The genesis of “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

In January 2021, while preparing a new exhibition, Ricciardiello faced a dramatic setback: a hard disk crash that resulted in the loss of his artworks. Using data recovery software, he managed to salvage part of the project “Era de Maggio”, 70 shots of a ceramic sculpture—a flowering crown of thorns. However, the recovered images had been altered by the crash: colors and shapes were transformed, giving rise to something entirely new and unexpected. “This error confronted me with a fundamental question: what has my original project become? Is it still mine? And what does the idea truly represent in this context?” the artist reflected during his talk.

In the presence of clients, friends, and professionals, guests had the opportunity to preview Ricciardiello’s works while engaging in a stimulating dialogue between creativity and law. Campa Avvocati and Studio Jaumann orchestrated an event that went beyond the traditional legal framework, transforming the evening into an experience of discovery and inspiration.
