Campa Avvocati, with a team composed of partners Massimo Campa and Matteo Aldeghi and associate Matilde Galli, assisted President Aldo Vanoli in the sale of the entire share capital of Vanoli Basket Cremona, a historic basketball club competing in Italy’s Lega Basket Serie A championship.
The acquisition was carried out by a group of international investors, including Donnie Nelson, former general manager of the Dallas Mavericks, and Luka Dončić, star player for the Los Angeles Lakers. The transaction is part of a broader project to relocate the franchise to the city of Rome, while maintaining the team’s participation in the Serie A championship.
Matteo Aldeghi also handled the authorization process of the transfer of the sports franchise, which concluded with the approval of the transaction by the Federal Council of the Italian Basketball Federation. Vanoli Basket Cremona boasts sixteen seasons in the top division and won the Italian Cup in 2019.
